Caminhando celebrated 30 years of operation in 2019, and in those years Caminhando has impacted the lives of hundreds of people with disabilities, realizing their dreams of social inclusion. There are more than 1,500 families that have had the course of their lives transformed, with an improvement in quality of life for their children, both adolescents and young adults. Many have gotten their first job and have likewise increased their circle of friends and peers, gaining independence, self esteem, and self worth.
In these years, in every new project, Caminhando has produced happiness and victories for our students, all of them grounded in an ethical and value-based education.
The small joys of life run through every corridor in Caminhando, they beam from the smiles and kind gestures which come from our students and families, and it is articulated through the dedication of our staff and volunteers.
